Urbana is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Urbana follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. What a delight! Great beer and fried chicken to go among the corn fields! It's like God made this place after the 7th day and all that work creating the firmament, and the universe, and decided he just wanted His very own cool place to take off his badass work boots and just chill. Here it is. The Riggs Brewery in the cornfield. Where the angels can put down their wings, and even God can kick back with all of us, and raise a "Heavenweizen" together. Go, brothers and sisters. It's special.

Lots of places to sit both indoors and outdoors! Friendly staff. I’m not a fan of beer (I came here for a social gathering), and I was driving anyway, but they had a good number of non-alcoholic options (free refills on most of these!) for a very reasonable price.

Traveled 75 minutes to visit Riggs after finding them online. I figured I'd come to a smaller location but when I arrived I was very much surprised! The location is a fairly large space. The atmosphere and vibe was great. I arrived to an event going on. The staff behind the bar did an amazing job, taking wave after wave of orders and never missing a beat or seeming stressed! They were friendly and the beers were solid! I had the india pale lager, the red ale and the dunked. All very good! Definitely will come back and also tell my people about it.

This is a wonderful German Beer Garden! I love their bock and wheat beers. They have lots of outdoor seating, games to play, and a play area for kids. The service is great and they regularly have food trucks and live music. Add in their locally grown grains and sustainability program and it is a winner!
